IV Международная научная студенческая конференция «Современные правовые проблемы: взгляд студентов» “Modern Legal Problems: Students' View” (СГЮА)
This article is considering social gifts in context of public diplomacy and from the point of view of the significance of the situation, the social environment, and subsequent prospects in the context of strengthening and developing Russian-Chinese relations, which have reached an unprecedented high level in recent years.
Necessary element for achieving understanding between people from different countries is mutual respect for cultural values, traditions, and customs as well as worldview and lifestyle. The main goal of international humanitarian cooperation is to convey these values through the forms that are perceived by all parties. A great role in international humanitarian cooperation belongs directly to the people, especially to their most active representatives. The relevant activities of both organizations and individuals are covered by the concept of public diplomacy, which is currently an effective tool of the "soft power" of a state and people in promoting their interests and authority abroad.
Social gift [] plays an important role in public diplomacy. This concept is understood as human activity associated with the free voluntary transfer of their social capital to a certain recipient without any personal material benefit, but with an emphasis on the relations that the presenter and the recipient enter into, and which are supported by them with the help of this gift.
